We are seeking an experienced Agricultural and Agritech Technician to support the day-to-day technical and operational requirements of our farming operations.&nbsp;KEY RESPONSIBILITIES•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Examining soil characteristics and assisting in determining the most effective cultivation approach, including the application of fertilisers and chemicals•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Assisting in developing and implementing programs for planting, fertilising, harvesting and processing of crops to achieve optimum production outcomes•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Identifying pests, weeds and other factors harmful to crops and livestock and assisting in devising methods of control•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Monitoring livestock health, breeding, and production to gauge the effectiveness of husbandry programs•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Operating, maintaining and servicing broadacre agricultural machinery and equipment, including the John Deere Combine Harvester, Air Seeder, MC truck and &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; associated implements•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Collecting, organising and collating data for agronomic and animal husbandry purposes and preparing farm records and reports•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Supporting the application of precision agricultural techniques and equipment in farm production activities&nbsp;EXPERIENCE REQUIRED<ul><li>At least 3 years of relevant experience in mixed cropping and livestock farm operations, or an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Agriculture or a related field</li><li>Demonstrated experience in the operation of seeding rigs, harvesters, boom sprayers and associated broadacre machinery</li><li>Sound mechanical skills and ability to maintain farm equipment</li><li>Proven communication and farm management skills</li><li>Ability to obtain or hold an MC truck license with required fatigue management certification</li></ul>
